New practice matte painting

This could do with a lot more work but i left it the way it is. This was a practice matte painting , not for a full render and shininess but so that i could practice some new techniques.In total this was actually a really fast one as it only took me about 2 hours once i had gathered enough resources.

I was told by an artist in a private message that my foundations are all wrong and my perspective is way off ,and that  i should basically go "back to basics".

So here are some "Rough" perspective practice sketches (freehand).

It's always better to get opinions when you are used to seeing your own stuff all day long.
So , what do you think? am i really that far off?

All critique is good critique at this stage. :)

My First proper attempt at matte painting

I was asked to create a post apocalyptic image for a potential client to display my work. So i went WAY outside my comfort zone and decided to make my first semi matte painting. ENJOY!:)
